We are so excited to welcome Dr. C. Andrew Sales to Neurology Associates.
Dr. Sales, a general neurologist with an emphasis in otoneurology, joins our Mesa clinic from Washington state, where he practiced since 2017. He earned his medical degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson, then completed his internship, residency and fellowship at The Ohio State University.
One of our favorite things about Dr. Sales isn’t just his expertise – he is great with patients and desires to help them achieve the highest possible quality of life.
“I very much cherish the doctor-patient relationship, and believe that healing is more than just medical treatment,” Dr. Sales says. “It is also empathic listening and understanding. I strive for my patients to feel comfortable with me as their physician.”
Dr. Sales chose otoneurology, the neurological field of ear disorders (dizziness, the lack of equilibrium, etc.), after his mother suffered a vertigo attack “that literally brought her to her feet,” he says. Dr. Sales says that experience was one of the scariest of his mom’s life, and he wanted to help.
“I’ve found that our sense of balance is under-appreciated until we suffer from imbalance, where it can literally turn our lives upside down,” Dr. Sales says. “Understanding how the brain and the ear work together has been so meaningful to me because it has helped me guide my mom and my patients back toward their sense of normalcy.”
Dr. Sales, like all our neurologists, is Board-Certified. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Vestibular Disorders Association and Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honors society.
Outside of the office, Dr. Sales embraces life. He loves cooking, learning foreign languages (he’s fluent in French and knows Russian, Tagalog and Japanese!) and playing music – the piano in particular. He also holds a bachelor of science in engineering.
Dr. Sales sees patients at our Mesa clinic (3308 N. Higley Road). He is available on Wednesday afternoons, and all day Thursdays and Fridays. Make your appointment by calling 480 800 4890 or by submitting your request online.
