As November comes to a close, we wanted to highlight two events that took place during the month and share some photos.
The first was the 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s, held by the Alzheimer’s Association. Neurology Associates sponsored a refreshment table and a water station. More poignantly, several of our staff took time out of their busy weekends to join the walk in downtown Phoenix in support of a cure for Alzheimer’s.
The second was the 15th Annual Run for Ryan House. Ryan House is a 12,500-square-foot home in downtown Phoenix that extends respite and palliative care to children (and their families) facing life-limiting or end-of-life conditions. Our Dr. Marnie Whitley got us involved in this meaningful fundraiser; Nov. 17 marked the sixth time she has participated in the Run for Ryan House.
“Doing the run is just a small way to help support them and get awareness out to the community that they are there,” Dr. Whitley says. “A lot of people don’t know about them and there are likely families that may appreciate knowing – either now or in the future.”
Check out photos below from both the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and the latest Run for Ryan House.
