For Patients

Neurology Associates has a complete, fully accredited MRI system in our Chandler clinic. We own a top-tier GE Healthcare machine with software from CorTechs Labs that delivers detailed information specific to conditions of the brain and spine. We also team with ProScan Reading Services for expert analysis. Our neurologists take that data and use it to tailor a treatment plan just for you.

Our in-house MRI capabilities provide two main benefits to patients:

  • Convenience – You no longer have to schedule neurological imaging appointments at different radiology offices and drive all over the Valley.
  • Consistency – Every MRI system is calibrated differently. Each time you have an MRI at Neurology Associates, you know the settings will remain the same. You and your neurologist will gain an accurate picture of any changes over time.

Concerned about paying for an MRI? We have good news.

  • Medicare, AHCCSS and most other insurance plans cover MRI services
  • We offer self-pay options for patients who do not have insurance
  • We also accept referrals for self-pay MRI exams ordered by physicians outside of Neurology Associates

Finally, if you need an MRI for a reason not necessarily related to neurology, we can still help. We are certified to conduct MRI exams for all parts of the body except the abdomen and pelvis.

Ask your primary care physician to refer you to Neurology Associates, or schedule an appointment directly by calling us at 480 800 4890 or sending an email.

For Physicians

Do you have patients requiring specialized neurological care, including MRI exams, but who cannot, or do not want to, travel all over the Valley to separate doctors and imaging centers?

Neurology Associates Neuroscience Center offers all the care these patients need – in one location. Our Chandler clinic is home to four neurologists, as well as a fully accredited in-house MRI system, a naturopathic physician and counselor, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, clinical psychologists and a physical therapist.

But back to our MRI system.

As you seek to help your patients gain convenient access to MRIs that will show any changes over time accurately thanks to consistent calibration, refer them to Neurology Associates. Learn more about the specifics of our setup below.

About Neurology Associates’ MRI Machine

Neurology Associates owns a GE Healthcare SIGNA® machine. The model measures magnetic flux density at 1.5 Tesla and features Excite technology that processes images faster and more accurately than other models. It also employs the PROPELLER technique to reduce motion.

Further, the MRI machine uses high-density multichannel surface coils to outperform traditional MRI scanners by almost 40 percent in quality and speed.

About the Neurologic Software

Neurology Associates uses CorTechs Labs’ 3D post-processing software, NeuroQuant® and the associated module, LesionQuantTM. The software is critical to detecting and treating neurological conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, multiple sclerosis and more.

Who Interprets Neurology Associates’ MRIs

We partner with ProScan Reading Services (PRS), founded by Stephen J. Pomeranz, MD, for expert interpretations of medical imaging exams. The PRS team comprises highly specialized, board-certified, and fellowship-trained radiologists. The doctors dedicated to Neurology Associates are Benjamin LeSar and Anshu Shukla.

Useful Information

Overall, with our combined MRI capabilities, not only does anatomical information come out with more sharpness and accuracy, but patients do not have to stay in our machine for as long as many other MRI systems may require. This makes exams more comfortable, especially for people who have trouble holding their breath during certain procedures.

Finally, if your patient needs an MRI for a reason not necessarily related to neurology, we can still help. We are certified to conduct MRI exams for all parts of the body except the abdomen and pelvis.

NeuroQuant®, which has FDA 510(k) clearance, provides volumetric measurements of brain structures and compares the volumes to a normative database adjusted for age, sex, and intracranial volume. The automated technology accelerates analysis, allowing Neurology Associates providers to elevate the evaluation of disease progression and spend more time with patients.

LesionQuantTM automatically labels, visualizes, and obtains the volumetric quantification of segmentable brain structures and lesions from MRI brain studies, within minutes. It visualizes lesions and lesion-volume change, and shows precise quantitative measurements that aid in clinical assessment, treatment, planning, and disease-progression monitoring.

About Neurology Associates’ MRI Accreditation

Neurology Associates Neuroscience Center holds a three-year term of accreditation for its GE Healthcare-developed SIGNA® High Definition Magnetic Resonance MRI system. The designation guarantees that Neurology Associates adheres to and complies with stringent MRI standards and practices. Specifically, Neurology Associates earned MRI accreditation in the following areas:

  • Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) – Evaluates abnormalities and disease processes of blood vessels in all parts of the body
  • Neurological MRI – Images the brain and spine in 2D and 3D
  • Musculoskeletal MRI – Visualizes, detects and stages a range of musculoskeletal disorders

The certification, which is good through Aug. 31, 2022, comes from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission.

We’re looking for talented Neurologists to join our growing team.
